The Mustang Broncos traveled to Moore to take on the Southmoore Sabercats in the Eskridge Auto High School Playbook Game of the Week

The Southmoore Sabercats defeated the Mustang Broncos 22-19 in the Eskridge Auto High School Playbook Game of the Week. The Sabercats were trailing in the 4th quarter 19-14 when recent OU commits Kendal Thompson hit Austin Haywood on a 52-yard TD pass to take the lead 22-19. With the win, the Sabercats claim the District 6A-1 Championship in just its 2nd year of play while the Broncos drop to 3rd place in the district. Looking towards the playoffs, the Sabercats will host the Eisenhower Eagles and the Broncos will travel to Edmond to play the Bulldogs.

Round 3 Playoff Picks

It took 13 weeks but Daniel finally beat Mark in our Eskridge Auto High School Playoff Picks. Daniel was right in predicting Southmoore to advance and he also picked Sequoyah Claremore to beat Tuttle which they did 40-14. Now it's time for the semifinals in Class 6A through 2A. The guys give their predictions and also pick a couple state champions.

High School Playbook Game of the Week
Tuttle

The Sequoyah Claremore Eagles defeated the Tuttle Tigers in convincing fashion 40-14 in the Eskridge Auto High School Playbook Game of the Week. The Eagles took a commanding 33-7 lead at the half and the Eagles never let the home team back into the contenst. The Eagles rushed for an astonishing 368 yards in the win and RB Dakota Green ran for 3 scores. With the win, the Eagles move on to the Semi-finals where they will play Cascia Hall.

Viewers Choice Game of the Week Announced

In a record setting week, more than 33,000 votes were cast for this week's Viewers Choice Game of the Week Poll. For the first few days, it was a tight race between Berryhill vs. Blanchard, and Kingfisher vs. Bridge Creek. In the end, the Kingfisher/Bridge Creek match-up pulled way ahead, receiving an astonishing 24,000 votes. High School Playbook will cover this game and bring you the highlights on Eyewitness News 5 @ 10.

Bombers Mark Carter Drops Dre Holman For Big Stop

Midwest City advanced to the 2nd round of the playoffs with a 21-16 victory over Putnam City North. The Bombers defense gave up very few yards and this weeks "Hit of the Week" is a perfect example of how difficult is was for the Panthers to move the ball. Chickasha Softball Advances in Playoffs

Chickasha slips past Altus, 5-4

LAWTON – Seniors Carly Blasingame and Paige Hightower each homered Tuesday to push Chickasha past Altus, 5-4, in the first round of the regional tournament.

Blasingame went deep to right-center for two runs in the top of the third to give Jimmy Darnell’s Lady Chicks a 4-1 lead, but the Bulldogs closed to 4-3 on two unearned runs.

Hightower’s solo shot to left-center in the fifth gave the Chicks a 5-3 lead, but again Altus scored in the home half of the sixth to keep it tight.
