Local Cheer Squad Wins

A local Cheer team finished second in the nation in their category in the National Cheerleading Association championships in Dallas in mid-February. The team is coached by Putnam City North graduate David Owens. 7 Putnam City students are part of an 11-member team that is Oklahoma?s only special needs cheerleading squad. Six district students from Putnam City West, Mayfield Middle School, and Cooper Middle School assist with the cheer team.
